The Stablecoin team builds and operates Coinbase Custom Stablecoins (CCS), the platform that lets partners launch their own branded, USDC-backed stablecoins on Coinbase's infrastructure. As a Software Engineer on this team within the Developer group, you'll build and extend the backend services and onchain contracts that power issuance, reserves, minting and burning, and rewards distribution for a fast-growing roster of partners. What you'll do: • Build and extend smart contract functionality for minting, burning, and safeguarding custom stablecoin supply, working closely with senior engineers on design and security review. • Implement backend services that power onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn the stablecoin roadmap into shipped features every quarter. • Develop reporting, monitoring, and internal tooling that improve reliability and operational excellence for the team. • Write high-quality, well-tested code across both backend and smart contract surfaces.
